Path is for the practitioner who treats their development as a direction they choose, and builds the evidence for it as they go.
Capture anywhere
Capture it the moment it happens
The best evidence is the kind you’d otherwise forget. Path works in your phone’s browser — there’s no app to install — so you can grab a photo or a quick note on the spot and file it later.
- Snap a photo. A certificate, a whiteboard, a thank-you card — straight from your camera into your inbox.
- Jot a quick note. A reflection while it’s fresh, before the detail fades.
- Categorise later. Captures wait in your inbox until you’re ready to turn them into a claim, CPD, reflection, or evidence.
Same account, same data — just the part of Path you reach for on the move.
Quick capture
Save from the web
Don’t lose the hour you just spent
A bookmarklet turns whatever you’re reading or watching into a Path capture in one click — no extension, no app. On an article or a video, it also picks up the description and, where the page publishes one, how long it was.
- One click, any page. Drag it once from Profile, then use it from wherever you are.
- Duration becomes hours. Watched a 40-minute recording? Path works out the CPD hours so you don’t have to guess at renewal.
- Filed when you’re ready. It lands in your inbox like any other capture — file it as CPD, a reflection, or evidence when you’re ready.

See your gaps
See where you’re strong, where you’re thin — and what to do next
Path maps your evidence against the standard and rates how strongly each criterion is met. The coverage map shows what’s done and suggests where to focus next.
Evidence quality
How well you’ve evidenced each criterion
Path rates each piece of evidence against Miller’s pyramid (Miller, 1990), the model professional education uses to describe how deeply someone has demonstrated competence. A certificate says you attended. A practice record says you did it, with real outcomes to show for it.
Your portfolio map shows not just which criteria you’ve covered, but how strongly — so you can target richer evidence where the standard demands it.
Does
Clinical audit, peer observation of live practice, patient outcomes.
Shows how
OSCEs, simulation, assessed presentation, recorded supervision.
Knows how
Case studies, reflections with applied action, planned CPD enacted.
Knows
Certificates, attendance records, reading lists, course completion.

A3.2 · Evidence-informed practice
Demonstrating evidence-informed practice in curriculum design
Draft · Last updated 12 Jun 2026
I applied evidence from systematic reviews of active learning pedagogy to redesign three core modules, shifting from lecture-based delivery to case-based formats. Student performance data over two cohorts shows a statistically significant improvement in summative assessment outcomes against the previous curriculum.
Reviewer feedback
Strong use of longitudinal data. The two-cohort comparison is exactly what the panel will want to see.

Mentoring
A home for your mentoring conversations
You and your mentor record each conversation as a session and agree actions, each with an owner and a due date. Either of you can log a session as your own CPD. You decide what your mentor sees: which paths, whether your goals, or nothing beyond the conversation. Your reflections are never shared with a mentor.
- From conversation to work. An action can work on a criterion or a goal. Choose Do this to start a claim, CPD activity or reflection that records where it came from.
- It counts for the mentor too. Mentors can log sessions as their own CPD, build a claim from them, and keep private notes that only they see.
- Your mentor needs no account. They can accept and record sessions through an emailed link, and take up a free account later if they want the CPD credit.

Prepare Sam to supervise a second student, starting next month.

Privacy & security
Your portfolio is yours, and it’s protected
Path holds sensitive professional work, and security is part of how it’s built and run.
- Two-factor authentication. Add a code from an authenticator app at sign-in, so a leaked password alone can’t open your account.
- Private by default. Database row-level security means one person’s portfolio can never be read by another. Your content is yours until you choose to share it.
- Encrypted & EU-hosted. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored in the European Union (Supabase, Ireland).
- HTTPS throughout. Served over HTTPS with standard security headers, and dependencies updated automatically for security fixes.

Redact sensitive details before they’re ever uploaded
Evidence in health and education often carries things that shouldn’t be stored — a patient’s name on a reflection, a colleague’s face in a photo, a signature on a form. Path lets you deal with that yourself, in the browser, before anything is sent.
- Blur what matters. Drag over faces, names, or identifiers and they’re blurred into the image itself — not merely hidden. You choose what goes, so there’s no automatic detection to quietly miss something.
- Nothing un-redacted leaves your device. Blurring, rotating, and cropping all happen in your browser — the only version that reaches Path is the one you’ve already cleaned up.
- A nudge at the right moment. A consent reminder appears wherever you add a photo, prompting you to check permissions and strip identifiers you don’t need.
